Committed to adventure

CruiseCharter was formed in 1999 by ex-software Vice-President, Jamieson Ide, with the objective of providing high quality water based corporate events.

These events are designed to fulfill the needs of busy marketing departments by offering very high quality across all the operation whilst requiring minimal input from the client. CruiseCharter aims to offer an end to end solution from door to door, we can charter aircraft, charter additional boats, provide accommodation and catering, and pretty well anything else you can think of to make the event supremely successful!

By making your reservation directly with CruiseCharter you can be sure that:
1. Your event organizer will have the best possible advice and guidance.
2. You avoid paying costly commissions to Media Organisations and Charter Brokers

CruiseCharter is based in Cowes, the mecca of European sailing, and has access to prime local facilities and can provide a grandstand view of the many International regattas held there including Cowes Week, America's Cup, Admirals Cup, and Commodores Cup. CruiseCharter owns a number of boats including a 58 foot (17 metre) luxury sailing boat and a 24 foot (7.5 metre) rigid inflatable boat (RIB). Additional resources are only utilized after extensive checking by us and are controlled throughout the event by CruiseCharter personnel.
"We aim to offer an end to end solution from door to door, we can charter aircraft or additional boats, provide accommodation and catering, and pretty well anything else you can think of to make the event supremely successful!"

What people say about CruiseCharter

"We spent a week aboard KIVU in France. We had a wonderful time, KIVU is a really luxurious boat and the RIB was a great hit with the children. Jamieson is an excellent skipper and host and we would not hesitate in recommending Cruisecharter."
D. N. Barrow, London

"The goodwill that was generated with our customers will be invaluable in the months to come The event also provided an excellent opportunity for staff teambuilding and we will certainly be capitalizing on the momentum generated The catering and hospitality were excellent the day was professionally managed and we all felt in safe hands."
Shona Maclean Managing Director CR Europe

"My main feedback would be that the staff on the boat were so helpful and pleasant that it was like spending a day on a friends boat - it was a perfect experience and we will definitely be back next year!"
Maxine Thompson, Marketing Manager, ARIBA

Kivu

The minute you step aboard her you'll be surrounded by leather and wood fitted by the finest craftsmen. She is equipped to the highest levels of comfort and ease of handling and has an impressive record of long distance sailing including 5 transatlantic crossings, extensive Caribbean cruising, and trips to Canada and the Black Sea.

She was designed for an owner who wished the comforts of life normally found in large motor yachts but in a sailing vessel, with the ability to explore the hidden creeks and harbours of the Caribbean. To this end she has a lifting keel ideal for exploring those hidden creeks and cays to which larger vessels do not normally have access.

She has twin engines, twin generators, full heating and with air conditioning throughout. Her interior is french polished wood, and she has a large fridge, large freezer, icemaker, microwave and conventional oven, washing machine etc. Her cutter ketch rig can all be rigged from the cockpit and benefits from electro-hydraulic furling sails throughout including in-mast for the main and mizzen. She also has an extensive downwind wardrobe including 2 asymmetric spinnakers. Jamieson has owned her since 1996 and she has undergone a £250,000 refit including complete repaint and new interior in leather and french polished cherry wood.

She has a large open cockpit which has a complete canopy. This can be converted into a sun canopy or can be removed entirely thus all vagaries of the local weather can be catered for.
